Kasapreko Company Limited (KCL), leader in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, has indicated that its operations in Nigeria and other West African countries are gaining roots in view of the high demand for its products.
Francis Ansah, Promotion and Advertising Manager, KCL, who disclosed this to CITY & BUSINESS GUIDE in an interview, said as a result of the development, management of KCL has installed new state-of-the-art equipment which has two bottling lines to be able to meet the growing demand.
The plant, with the highest machine speed, can produce 30,000 bottles an hour while another can produce 40,000 bottles an hour.
Mr. Ansah said over US$30 million had been injected into the expansion project, which is taking place on a 7,500 square metres land.
KCL combines the best from the Ghanaian heritage with herbal science and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, and strives to deliver products that offer a multiplicity of benefits to the end consumer.
The company was founded in 1989 in Nungua, a suburb of Accra in response to the growing demand for good quality alcoholic drinks that were still within the means of the average Ghanaian.
It has won several national and international awards over the past 10 years.
KCL was recently adjudged the 2011 Best Manufacturing Company during the Ghana Club 100 (GC100) awards in Accra.
The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) adjudged Alomo Gin Bitters as the Best Alcoholic Product of the Year 1999.
CIMG also named the Managing Director of the Company, Dr. Kwabena Adjei as the Prestigious Marketing Man of the Year 2002.
It has also received the Ghana Star Award 2007 – Kasapreko Alomo TICO; Ghana Star Award 2007 – Kasapreko Cocoa Liqueur and Africa SMME Award 2008-Industrial Sector Award.
