Mr Ben Anane Nsiah, Manager for Special Event, Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), has commended Kasapreko Company Limited (KCL) for its quality indigenous beverages it produces.
He said, Kasapreko is an example of what a good Ghanaian company could provide in terms of quality, and urged other indigenious companies to add excellence to their products so that people, especially, foreigners, would accept and patronise made in Ghana goods to boost tourism.
Mr Nsiah made the remarks during a meeting with hoteliers, drinking bar and restaurant operators in Accra, Tema organised by KCL, and partnered by GTA.
He explained that GTA was part of the KCL event because, the body wants to introduce its front line soldiers to what a good Ghanaian company could provide.
“We are confident with the quality of the brand, Kasapreko, and will always support them when they need our help,” he added.
Mr Nsiah, said: “We want to create an environment for other local produce company to be competitive.”
Mr Yaw Mensah, National Sales Manager, KCL, said, the company would go to other regions and engage with trade partners, as well as visit tourist sites and talk to customers on the need to purchase Kassapreko’s quality indigenous product.
He encouraged Ghanaians to purchase made in Ghana products in order to motivate foreigners to do so.
“It’s what we do that will let foreigners learn from us. We need to appreciate what we produce in Ghana, so that others will also appreciate it.
“But, don’t take it only because it’s made in Ghana product, but because it’s quality, packaged well; and that when you sell it, you will make more profit,” he said.
Mr Mensah expressed gratitude to their trade partners for making Kasapreko win several awards.
He said the company is doing more research to come out with more quality products to target the mass market.
