Kasapreko to produce non-alcoholic drinks

Kasapreko Company Limited, the leading producer of local alcoholic drinks, has hinted that it will begin the production of non-alcoholic drinks in Ghana next year.

Dr. Kwabena Adjei, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kasapreko, disclosed this when some chiefs of Anglo State in the Volta region paid a courtesy call on him in Accra.

He said the soft drinks that the company will produce would contain herbs that can heal prostate cancer in men and other diseases in women.

Dr. Adjei said, “The soft drinks will not just be any ordinary drinks but one that will heal people who are suffering from various diseases. We know prostate cancer worries men a lot that is why we are using helps that can heal the disease.”

He said outfit had acquired land for cassava cultivation in the Volta, which will be used to produce drinks and biscuit, adding that currently the cassava farm is employing 200 people.

“I decided to make something different in the liquor industry, hence the use of herbs and plants that are potent. Herbs are green gold because they have so many uses for human,” Dr. Adjei said.

He said his outfit had contracted a weaving company in Volta region to weave Kente vest for its bartenders and sales men across the country and beyond.

“I feel sad when our traditional Kente cloth is not being promoted, hence my desire to use Kente to sew vest for our sales men in the whole world.

“This is my small way of selling our rich tradition to the whole world. I am also marketing the Kente cloth to the world in my small way. Let’s respect our traditions and values as Africans,” Dr. Adjei said.

The Kasapreko CEO was presented with a Kente cloth by a member of the delegation from the Volta region in recognition of his contributions to the creation of jobs for the people in the country.
