Ghana is proud to be among first African nations to experience Omolewa makeup products launch. On Sunday, December 15, 2013, at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi, Ghanaians will learn how the new cosmetics line is helping women show off their outer and inner beauty.
Omolewa makeup line is innovative cosmetics made for women of all skin types. It is a fashion forward and high performance product line made not only to enhance beauty, but also to provide you with a lot of benefits and nutrients needed for healthy skin. Omolewa Makeup prides itself in high quality yet very affordable products.
According to the CEO, who doubles as Beauty Expert and Creative Director Mrs. Irene Dele, the company’s products are manufactured in the United States under the recommended and approval of the FDA which makes it safe for use.
Omolewa launched its range of beauty products in North America earlier this year under a strategic plan for it to debut in Africa before the end of this year. Since its launch the products are already performing well as one of the best brands on the market.
“I grew up in Ghana and wanted to dedicate the first chapter of my brand launch to this beautiful nation. Omolewa means beautiful child in Yoruba language, and it is a middle name my father gave me as a little girl.
My father has always called me Omolewa, and now I am helping others embrace the Omolewa beauty inside them as well. I am doing this through safe products which are water based, and additional benefits I will discuss during the event.”
Mrs. Dele added that participants will see live demonstrations on the accurate way to apply cosmetics on the skin. “They will learn about safety in cosmetics as well as the dangers associated with skin-bleaching. I want to make sure that women of color don’t destroy their skin while trying to achieve their ultimate look of beauty”.
The seminar will offer tips on the application and removal of Omolewa cosmetics, and how to achieve healthy and glowing skin to create ideal looks for morning, mid-day and evening occasions.
The official name of the branding campaign is “I Am Omolewa”. Madam Dele recruited branding and marketing firm, Brandbuilder - USA to spearhead the launch, considering CEO for the firm, Akia Garnett is a branding expert with international experience focused specifically on eastern and western world markets.
Madam Garnett is also a former cosmetologist and hair salon owner, and offers a unique perspective on how to create multiple streams of income by not only using the cosmetics as a consumer, but also by becoming a makeup artist and distributor of products.
Madam Garnett will speak on the characteristics of inner-beauty, including self-esteem, self-confidence, and stewardship over one’s resources, which includes greater discipline as an entrepreneur.
“Women can be proud of their beauty, and increase their ability to produce income for themselves as well. African markets are ready for this type of product launch, especially considering there are very few cosmetics companies owned by African natives.
Ghana will soon offer other African markets an opportunity to carry the products beginning early 2014. This launch is just the beginning of a greater impact that Brandbuilder will help to promote. My personal objective is to help the women of African nations take care of their families by contributing to global commerce,” she added.
“I Am Omolewa: Beautiful Inside and Out” first launch event was held at Holiday Inn Airport City Accra last weekend. It was attended by a cross section of representatives from Royal Bank, Ghanaian celebrities and the general public.
The second launching, to be held at the Golden Tulip, Kumasi will also offer insight on high fashion, what models wear on the runways, how stars achieve their looks, refreshing looks for brides, and more. Food and beverages will be served. Networking will take place as well. Tickets are for GH¢50 and can be purchased at the Yegoala Hotel, Kumasi.
