MTN Ghana supports 2017 Homowo Festival

Telecommunication giant, MTN, as part of its social responsibilities, has donated towards the 2017 Homowo Festival celebrations.

MTN Ghana on Monday August 21, presented GHC5000 cash, GHC500 worth of MTN airtime, a hamper with goodies and MTN souvenirs to the Paramount Chief of La Traditional Area, His Majesty Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III at the La traditional council in Accra.

Customer Relations Executive for MTN, Mrs. Jemima Kotie-Walsh speaking during the donation, expressed excitement about the company’s involvement in this year’s celebrations and reiterated the company’s commitment toward fostering a good relationship with the La Traditional Area.

She revealed the company’s plans to support major social activities throughout the festive period.

Free data services for customers at vantage points she said, will be one of the provisions made by the company towards the celebrations.

This she explained, will give customers an experiential feel of benefits of their internet and data services which include fastest 4G LTE services.

She detailed that MTN’s support for this year’s Homowo Festivities was a way of showing its commitment to promoting Ghana’s rich culture.

Mankrado for LA tradional area, Nii Obodai Adai IV who received the items commended MTN Ghana for the support. He indicated that the donations were the first to be received from any cooperate society.

He, therefore, assured MTN that the monies presented to the council will be used to support the festival as expected.

The Mankrado on behalf of the Paramount chief and the Traditional Council expressed gratitude to MTN for the kind gesture.
