Management of MTN Ghana has introduced innovations in their products and services to create a platform for business transaction online to promote growth.
In view of this, management held the Fourth Business Fair to exhibit the products in the Western Region for business entities to patronize the modern technology products to enhance productivity.
The products include communication devices with voice solution, vehicle tracking device that could be used for business transaction without moving from the offices.
The forum forms part of activities marking the month long MTN Regional Festival dubbed; “Twin City Festival”.
Mr Laud Ammah, Senior Manager for South-West Business District of MTN, expressed the organisation’s determination to play a role in providing the needed technology to drive businesses in Ghana.
He said the MTN had invested more than 1.7 billion cedis in the network and was demonstrating ICT offers which include corporate Voice Solutions, vehicle tracking devices, modems, routers and high end phone devices.
Mr Teddy Hayford-Acquah of MTN, said the organisation’s effort to bring businesses closer to the business community was being undermined by frequent thefts at their cell sites.
He appealed to the communities to serve as watchdogs to support them to protect their installations as this also affected them.
The Communication Network is also challenged with the destruction of fiber through road construction as well as the deplorable road network which is serious in the rural area.
Representatives of corporate organisations complained of people going about to do dubious work under pretext of being staff of the MTN and urged the management to investigate and bring them to book.
