MTN Ghana in partnership with InTarget on Thursday launched the MTN Mobile Advertising platform, to enable advertisers to reach their potential targets via a mobile device in Accra.
Mrs Cynthia Lumor, Corporate Services Executive, MTN said with this innovative service customers would receive information on options for goods and services in an efficient manner.
She said suppliers could have their pick of avenues to reach their preferred audience in a cost-effective manner.
She said one of the benefit associated with the service is that messages could be targeted at specific segments based on age, gender, interest or demographic considerations at a price, cheaper than the traditional advertising.
The Corporate Services Executive said MTN’S partnership with InTarget demonstrates the company’s commitment to lead the delivery of a bold new digital world to their customers.
“It also provides cutting-edge solutions that brightens the lives of our customers,” she added.
She expressed the hope that the new service would give advertisers the necessary reach they require to promote their brand.
Mrs Lumor said the service offered advertisers the key options including the bulk and dialogue SMS, the end of call and SMS notification, account recharge notification, start of call notification and please call me back option.
Mr Albert Afolabi, Country Manager, InTarget-Nigeria said the properties of the service includes targeted text tags, mass airtime, mobile display, voice advertising, augmented reality and bespoke solutions.
He said the service is non-intrusive and advertisers should be assured of maximum security.
He said InTarget offered the core capacities for a complete mobile advertising solution that gives advertisers and marketing departments to be global.
He said it also gave advertisers the opportunity to increase their exposure in the fastest growing economies in the world.
