MTN launches business solutions in Ghana

MTN Ghana launched "MTN Business", a platform providing a one-stop-shop for all ICT needs of individuals and corporate entities. Services include leased lines (international and national), dedicated internet, shared IP connect service, VPN over Mobile, Wi-Fi Hotspots, Co-Location Hosting services, Hosted Messaging and Collaboration and Cloud Computing and Virtualization.

MTN also invested in technological infrastructure including three Data Centers in Accra and Kumasi as well as in optic fiber and microwave across the country.

The launch coincides with the future opening of 14,000 kilometres West African Cable System (WACS) in which MTN has invested some US$90 million. WACS is the expected to hit Ghana's shores on May 13, 2011 and is forecast to deliver 5.12 Terabytes per second capacity.
