President John Dramani Mahama will be among high profile dignitaries to address this year’s Africa Global Business Forum (AGBF) scheduled to take place in Dubai on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2st October, 2014.
The two-day forum, which is the second after the inaugural forum in 2013, will bring together prominent stakeholders from the African Union and economic blocs to dialog at the highest level of implementation and advise on key strategic directives related to Africa’s economic outlook.
The forum, under the theme, “New realities, new connections”, is under the patronage of HE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirate (UAE ) and ruler of Dubai.
The second Africa Global Business Forum will highlight Dubai’s role as an international gateway to Africa.
The objective of AGBF is to encourage international revenue flows into Africa by engaging leading decision-makers on the global investment scene.
The 2013 forum saw the attendance of 31 Presidents and Prime Ministers, African Ministers and dignitaries along with 3,000 delegates from 86 countries.
The forum featured dynamic insights from over 100 influential minds representing diverse range of local and international backgrounds and areas of expertise and successfully provided delegates with informative sessions on high-level engagements.
The 2014 forum aims to highlight key initiatives that drive Africa’s promising economic future and emphasize how Dubai is a main strategic link to the continent as well as explore new business partnerships and opportunities arising between Africa and Dubai.
AGBF promises lively debates, clear business-relevant focus and a high degree of interaction. The forum has been designed to ensure ample opportunity for one-to-one meetings and networking, alongside thought-provoking discussions over the two days plenary sessions.
