Main stock index inches up

Accra, July 7, GNA - The main stock index inched up in another quiet trading Friday with only one equity making a move. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, went up by 0.02 points to 4,832.85 points from 4,832.83 points on Thursday. Change for the year to date, however, ended flat at 1.34 per cent. On the broader market, there was only one price change, a 10-cedi rise by Enterprise Insurance Company at 8,110 cedis.

Traded volumes were down at 81,900 from Thursday's 137,600 while market capitalisation was up at 95,577.24 billion cedis from 95,576.98 billion cedis.
