Sunyani, Sept 22, GNA - A four-member management committee for the Sunyani Municipal Metro Mass Bus service was on Wednesday inaugurated in Sunyani.
The committee has Mr Ignatius Baffuor-Awuah, Municipal Chief Executive, as its Chairman, Mr Kyei Donkor, transport officer of the Brong Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council, Secretary, Nana Atta Afena, Regional Director of National Disaster Management Organization, member and Nana Gyau Gyan II, Akrofrohene/Atipimhene of Berekum Traditional Area, member.
Nana Kwadwo Seinti, the Regional Minister, said the introduction of the mass transport service by the government was in fulfilment of its promise to reduce transportation problems.
He said the board would work under the Regional Coordinating Council to ensure that the bus service runs successfully for it to be extended to the districts.
Mr Baffour-Awuah on behalf of the members promised that the committee would work to justify the trust reposed in the members.
