Market index slides on Accra Brewery loss

Accra, Jan. 16, GNA - The Accra bourse slid in trading at the beginning of the week following the loss of Accra Brewery Limited, the only equity to experience a price change on Monday.

ABL lost 30 cedis at 1,200 cedis, pushing the GSE All-Share Index down by 2.83 points at 4,705.50 points.

Change in the year-to-date was also down at -1.33 per cent from Friday's -1.27 per cent. Shares traded were 26,600 from Friday's 121,800.

Market capitalisation was poorer at 91,689.12 billion cedis from 3,573.18 million issued shares.
