The McDan group of companies has continued in its relentless pursuit of growing business innovation among young entrepreneurs across the country.
Already in its 6th year, the innovative McDan entrepreneur challenge has led to the provision of significant seed funding for many startups and enabled the spawning of many others.
This year’s northern qualification event which was held in the Upper West regional capital Wa, saw the participation of senior high school students and university students from across the northern regions and was very keenly contested.
An impressive part of the event was the CEO Dr Daniel McKorley’s personal donation of GH¢50,000 to a physically challenged entrepreneur whose business ideas could not pass the test of assessment but nonetheless showed great promise worthy of support.
The event was heavily attended by the chiefs and people of the north and other dignitaries from Accra as well as members of the academia, led by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Emmanuel Kanchebe Derbile.
