Mills to commission cocoa processing plant in Kumasi

Accra, Oct. 7, GNA - President John Evans Atta Mills will on Friday, October 9, inaugurate a new cocoa processing plant in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

A release signed by Mr Mahama Ayariga, Presidential Spokesperson, on Wednesday said President Mills would be joined by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for the inaugural ceremony. Meanwhile, Mr Ayariga in another press release, has announced that the second Town Hall Meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Catholic Social Centre in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region. The event starts at 0830 hours.

According the release, the Town Hall Meeting would provide the inhabitants of the Municipality the opportunity to participate directly in the determination of the development agenda of the Bolgatanga. The Spokesperson entreated interested persons of all persuasions to avail themselves of the opportunity to help to shape the development agenda of the area.
