Chief donates sports equipment to Lions

Nsawam Jan. 23, GNA - Nana Baffour Addo Danquah II, Chief of Akwamu near Nsawam in the South Akuapem District has donated several sports items worth 10 million cedis to the Akwamu Red Lions F/C. The items included two footballs, two sets of jersey and shorts, football boots and a first aid box.
Presenting the items Nana Baffour Addo Danquah said the items were his personal contribution towards sports development in the district. Skipper Attah Kwasi who received the items on behalf of the club commended the chief for his kind gesture and appealed to other chiefs in the area to emulate his examples.
Otoase Stars beat Red Lions 3-2 in a friendly football match, which formed part of the presentation ceremony.
