Director-General of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr. Adu Anane Antwi, has charged business men and women to form joint partnership instead of sole ownership.

He explained that forming joint partnerships will enable them to access capital on the financial market for expansion.

He made this suggestion at the launch of Hords Limited’s Initial Public Offer (IPO) in Accra yesterday.

Mr. Antwi was of the view that when a number of businesses come together with their capital to build a single company, it becomes more successful than the same number of businesses working separately.

According to him, there was the need to build trust among business colleagues in order to aid in the building of joint-owned businesses and not destroy each other’s reputation.

He urged sole proprietors to team up and form joint partnerships.

This, he said, will encourage more companies to list on the stock market.
