The National Democratic Congress (NDC)Vice Presidential Candidate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has pledged that a future NDC government will make the agriculture sector more appealing to Ghanaians.

Speaking to supporters in Walewale as part of her Northeast Region campaign tour, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang outlined the party's plans to introduce innovative policies and invest heavily in agriculture to enhance food security and create jobs.

A key initiative she highlighted was the establishment of Farmer's Service Centres in every district.

These centres, she explained, would be equipped with modern farming machinery to support farmers in preparing and cultivating their land.

According to Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, the centres will enable farmers to access the equipment necessary to boost food production across the country.

Criticising the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration, she questioned why the government has yet to fulfil its promise to construct the Pwalugu Dam despite an initial sod-cutting ceremony and significant financial allocations.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang also expressed concern over what she sees as the government's mismanagement of the education sector, criticising the decision to provide students with past exam questions instead of textbooks.

She urged Ghanaians to vote out the current administration in the upcoming December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections, stating that it has failed to meet the country's needs and expectations.
