Staff of the National Identification Authority under the Public Services Workers’ Union of the Trades Union Congress say they will go ahead with their planned nationwide indefinite strike effective Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

The workers are demanding the immediate approval and implementation of migration reports connected to their conditions of service.

In a statement jointly signed by union leaders Godsway Ayivor and Bismark Francis Bangfudem Nyuzaghl, members across the country were directed to stay away from work beginning midnight Tuesday until further notice.

The union has also instructed regional executives to monitor compliance with the industrial action at all NIA offices nationwide.
