The Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mr Kofi Osei-Ameyaw has reiterated the authority’s commitment toward improving lives of its patrons through the introduction of attractive products and packages.
According to Mr. Osei-Ameyaw, NLA patrons are fortunate because losing cash in the normal lottery game gives the player other opportunities of winning supplementary prizes with the authority.
He said these when he presented the first prize of a Hyundai Accent car worth GHC87,125 to the ultimate winner of the “Lucky Hands Promotion” at the Fortune House in Accra.
In the bid to give hope and happiness to its clients who do not get the chance to win cash prizes in the normal lottery games, the NLA, according to Mr. Osei-Ameyaw saw the need to introduce the Lucky Hands Promotion.
“With NLA lottery, once you stake and you don’t win, you have another chance of winning through the Lucky Hands Promo,” he emphasized.
The Lucky Hands Promotion which gives lotto players an opportunity to win other prizes from the NLA saw three-hundred and two-thousand (302,000) patrons participating in the three months draw with hundred smartphones presented to winners.
However, prizes rewarded to Lucky winners in the Grand Draw included a flat screen television set, a fully paid for trip to Dubai and Hyundai Elantra saloon car.
Presenting the car to the Ultimate winner in Accra, Mr. Osei-Ameyaw said, the NLA Lucky Hands Promotion is a game of chance, thus he called on those who are yet to play the game not be left out but should give it a try.
“In fact the winner of the car is very happy… from here the person who won the trip to Dubai will also be given his ticket and prize money. Those who won the television sets have received them already,” he noted.
Taking delivery of the car, the ultimate winner, Mr. Harrison Nukpor who had no hope of winning something “big” like the car he had won, said his participation in the promo was accidental.
“It was almost a very unfortunate incidence which led to me taking part in the promo. I was sending money to someone and I mistakenly sent airtime… when the person sent back the airtime to me and the promotion was ongoing and I had some of the money in the account I decided to play along,” Mr. Nukpor revealed.
According to the electronic technician who came all the way from Akatsi in the Volta Region for his reward, the promo, like other NLA products and games was very fair.
He, therefore, charged lotto players to continue patronizing the authority’s services in order to get the opportunity to win great prizes and also help in contributing to Ghana’s development.
