The Greater Accra Regional Organizer (GARO) of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Prince Obeng, has announced the arrival of electric buses as part of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s transportation initiative.

The announcement was made via his Facebook page on Tuesday, October 10.

Mr. Obeng expressed excitement over the development, highlighting it as a significant step forward in modernizing Ghana’s transportation system.

The introduction of electric buses is part of Dr. Bawumia’s broader vision to promote sustainable and eco-friendly transport solutions in the country.

“These electric buses are here, and it’s a testament to the innovative leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” Mr. Obeng posted.

“This is the future of transportation, and it will not only reduce emissions but also enhance the efficiency of public transport in Ghana.”

The arrival of the electric buses aligns with the NPP's commitment to improving the country’s infrastructure while addressing environmental concerns.

It is expected that these buses will soon be rolled out in major cities, contributing to a cleaner and more efficient public transportation network.

The move has garnered attention, with many supporters of the NPP praising Dr. Bawumia’s efforts to introduce green technology into the transportation sector.

The initiative is seen as part of his broader agenda to transform Ghana’s economy through technological innovations, he concluded.
