NPP’s 2017 budget full of contradictions - Omane Boamah

A former minister of communications in the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, Dr Edward Omane Boamah has described the 2017 budget statement presented by Minister of Finance Ken Ofori Atta to parliament as full of contradictions.

The majority and functionaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have argued that the maiden budget presented to parliament is a budget of hope that seeks to liberate the country from its economic quagmire.

They insist that it is the only antidote to putting the economy back on a sound footing considering how things were allegedly done in the previous NDC administration under John Dramani Mahama.
