Accra, May 7, GNA - New Image Transfer Technology (NITT), has in partnership with Indian image transfer manufacturing giant, Technova, launched the Inkjet Computer to Plate System for Ghana's printing industry. The Inkjet Computer to Plate System with technical collaboration from AGFA and Epson both companies, enable printing to be done straight from the computer on to the plate thereby eliminating the film. Currently, to print materials they have to be first loaded onto a film and then transferred onto a plate.

"This new technology has been developed to cater to our developing print industry by being widely affordable and readily available," Mr Kwame Blay, NITT Chief Executive Officer said on Friday.

He said a total imaging solution coupled with technical knowhow and support systems had been planned for the local industry. Mr Vinayak Rane, a Technova executive, said the new technology eliminate the film and harsh chemicals in the film process. 7 May 10
