Nicholas Bortey scoops Young ICT Entrepreneur of the Year at GITTA 2017

Chief Executive Officer for IT support and outsourcing firm Liranz, Nicholas Bortey has emerged as the Young ICT Entrepreneur of the Year at the 7th Ghana Information Technology and Telecom Awards 2017 which came-off on Saturday night at the Kempinski Hotel.

Nicholas Bortey, though a young entrepreneur, has had a wealth of experience at the top managerial level of several high-profile companies in the country and his vision to set up Liranz to provide IT support and managed IT services in Ghana is steadily changing the face of IT service provision in the country.

The pragmatism and ingenuity of Nicholas Bortey have broken several barriers in the Information Technology sector in the country, barely five years after setting up Liranz, his business has developed strong relationships with clients in various sectors including Oil and Gas, Financial Services, Legal Services, Logistics & Transportation, Healthcare, Non-Governmental Agencies, Real Estate, Agriculture, Education, startups etc.

Nicholas Bortey recounted what motivated him to set up Liranz in this era where running business is a daunting task.

“My motivation was quite simple and was clear from the start. The basic mission was to evolve the traditional break-fix IT business into a professional IT support and managed services in Ghana and in the West African sub-region.

From the onset, the business looked rosy but was daunting with the challenges of getting the right Personnel, redefining the business concept of IT so as to acquire and maintain the trust and respect of our clients.”

But with hard work and determination we have over the years evolved more on how we can better serve our clients and their evolving IT needs and to continue delivering exceptional and meaningful value through our premium business technology services,” Nicholas Bortey intimated.
