A Ghanaian businessman based in Italy, Nii Lamptey, is urging his compatriots living in Italy to use their experience to convince Italian investors to Ghana. Nii Lamptey who owns Niian Import and Export Company which deals in exporting materials such as Italian floor tiles and other building materials to Ghana whilst importing Africa food products from Ghana to Italy was speaking on building the economy of Ghana through investments. He said:”Some of us have been living in Italy for a long time, worked with Italians and have seen their drive towards work on factory management and small scale industries and we can convince them about the big prospects that await them in Ghana. We have learn’t how some of the small scale investments which started from their homes has been turned into multi-million companies and we can take such an experience home.” Nii Lamptey whose business enterprise is based in Modena commended those Ghanaians in Italy who have taken the lead in taking the Italian experience home to set up businesses. “But we can still do better and with most Italian enterprises unaware of what Ghana can offer in terms of investments we have to hold their hands and lead them to Ghana,” he advised.

The Niian Company Import and Export Company chief added his company has facilities which can be rented to investors. “ We have a storage facility at a basement measuring 100 feet by 41 feet and 18 feet depth at Marnet Court on the Spintex Road in Accra with good ventilation and such a facilty can be used by a Company which wants to store its products or as an Assembling depot. Also available is an 80 by 70 plot of land at Beach Area Tourist Zone situated at Kokrobite in Accra which would be sold to interested persons, co-operate organisations or investors.” he pointed out.

Contact for these facilities he mentioned can be made to Niian Import & Export through the following: Tel – 039-3202525497 e-mail: niianie40@yahoo.com
