The founder of Group Nduom Bank, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has said no one in government wants to take full responsibility for the collapse of his bank.

He explained that this was because no one wanted to accept the damages that resulted from the exercise.

According to Dr Nduom, there were divisions among the executives of the New Patriotic Party over the decision to undertake the banking sector clean-up exercise.

Speaking at a press conference on August 22, 2024, he said: “There is a present administration headed by Akufo-Addo. There is another flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia and his people. There is a party itself, yes, the leader is Dr. Bawumia but there is an executive. I know for a fact that virtually everything that has been done to Group Nduom has been an argument.

“Not everyone agrees with what has been done. Many people say he was a part of it and others say he wasn’t. They don’t want to own up to it because they don’t want to be blamed. Some people are afraid of damages. Who is going to pay for the damages that was caused?” he asked.
