Mr Adzoteye Lawer Akrofi, the Ada West District Chief Executive, has said an oil refinery will soon be constructed at Ahlihakposisi, a suburb of Sege in the Greater Accra Region, to create job for the youth.
He said feasibility studies had already been completed by the investor for construction works to begin.
Mr Akrofi made this known during his sessional address at the Assembly’s meeting at Sege.
He said the Assembly had also received a group from South Africa who had expressed interest in establishing large scale poultry farm in the District and that that project would start next year.
The DCE said many companies had expressed interest in constructing wind farms in the area to generate electricity as they had carried out extensive research and found the place an ideal location for the project.
