Bank Watch Limited, one of the leading training and consultancy institutions in the banking industry, will organise a six-day training programme in Operational Risk Management and Linguistic Programming (NLP) from December 3-11, 2013.

“The increasing dynamics of fraud and fraud-related activities mean that banks must continuously improve upon their operations and risk-management practices,” R. A. Tetteh, Chief Executive of Bank Watch, said.

The course will be facilitated by Dev Nair, a former Regional Head of Operational Risk for both West and Central Africa at Standard Chartered Bank, managing nine countries.

He also worked as a legal counsel with a local bank in Singapore, having managed both policy and compliance, before moving into operational risk in 2004. He drafted group operational risk policies, including sound risk management from the insurance perspective.

Mr. Nair uses his vast experience to take a cradle-to-grave approach in operational risk, while ensuring that the right training is sent to the target audience. Having oversight of operational risk at multi-levels, Mr. Nair shows how true risk management can be undertaken in business with minimum compromise to delivery.
