Director of Strategy and Business Operations at Dalex Finance, Mr. Joe Jackson has called on the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu to as a matter of urgency probe the bribery allegations made against the Tema Oil Refinery boss, Asante Berko.
Mr. Berko is alleged to have arranged at least $2.5 million in bribes to be paid to Ghana government officials to gain approval for a client’s power plant project.
The Special Prosecutor who is yet to go to court with any corrupt case has since been criticized by the public including the leadership of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not meeting the expectations of Ghanaians.
However, the Dalex Finance boss who seems to have had enough of Mr. Amidu’s laid-back attitude is asking when exactly the Special Prosecutor intends to commence his duties.
He is demanding that just like the others, this bribery scandal should not be swept under the carpet.
"What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Citizen Vigilante/ SpecialProsecutor/ Hon Martin Amidu over to you. When are you inviting someone”? He wrote on Twitter.
