PDSA Company launches geosystems Service Centre

PDSA Company Limited, the authorized Leica Geosystems Distributor in Ghana, has launched an ultramodern Service Centre in Accra to provide repair and callibration services for all Leica-Geosystems Total stations.

The PDSA is engaged in the sales, hire, support and servicing of Leica Total Stations, GPS / GNSS Sensor, DISTO, Levels, Lasers, Scanners and accessories.

Speaking at the launch on Thursday, Mr Maxwell Ansah, the Managing Director of PDSA, said the Service Centre would provide repair and maintenance services to institutions, which use Leica-Geosystems Total stations, such as the oil and gas and mining and constructions industries.

He said the Service Centre would help users of Leica-Geosystems to avoid the high cost of transporting their equipment abroad for servicing and maintenance.

Mr Ansah said the company had a team, which is experienced in the field of surveying and therefore, were not just salesmen but could give sound technical advice to the clients to make the right choice of solutions.

He said the Service Centre provides complete standardized services within 48 hours once an appointment had been booked; adding that, customers were issued with an ISO Quality Certificate on Leica letter head after complete servicing.

Mr Frank Reffreger, the Leica Technical Support Engineer for North, Western and Central Africa, said the Service Centre would guarantee quality products for their clients.

Mr Prince Danso Abiam, the Finance/Administration Manager, PDSA, said the Service Centre is providing services to clients from Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, and that, soon it would extend its services to the rest of the West Africa sub-region

Mr John Amaglo, the Deputy Director, Jogamah Geomatics Consult Ltd and Chairman of the Land Survey Division of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors, lauded PDSA for the innovation.

Dr Kwasi Appeaning, the Head, Oceanography Department, University of Ghana, who formerly launched the Service Centre, described it as very historic in the annals of survey in the country.
