The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited, Dr. Agnes Adu, has called for increased patronage of made-in-Ghana products.
According to her, the “Buy Ghana, Eat Ghana” initiative will stimulate the economy and benefit local business owners, particularly manufacturers.
Dr Adu emphasised the importance of supporting locally produced goods at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium at the launch of the Accra Grand Sales event on October 30, 2024.
“We have all kinds of made-in-Ghana products available here. The aim is to showcase and encourage people to buy Ghanaian products. It shouldn’t always be that we have to import items from abroad. We have everything we need here in Ghana, and it’s important to support our local industry. So, we urge everyone to patronize made-in-Ghana products,” she stated.
The Accra Grand Sales, organized in collaboration with the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, is designed to highlight a diverse range of Ghanaian-made products.
The event seeks to raise awareness and foster support for locally manufactured goods.
The exhibition, which features a variety of products, will run from October 30 to November 3, 2024, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.
Plans are underway to extend the exhibition to the Ashanti Region, allowing even more Ghanaians to experience and support locally produced goods.
