Some traders who sell their products outside the Takoradi market are pleading with authorities of the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly to allow them run their business there, than compelling them to stay away from the place since it’s their only source of survival.
According to them, the market is choked with no sheds available so they are forced to sell their products outside the market because it attracts more customers to them which increase their sale.
Meanwhile, some women who sell in the market are also complaining bitterly about the current situation facing them, accusing authorities of failing to take action thereby creating a lot of tension.
In an interview with them they disclosed having troubles in their finances since they are gradually losing their customers.
They are therefore calling on the authorities to take effective control of the situation by sacking people who sell outside the market.
