Barely 24 hours after launching the Youth Enterprise Support (YES) initiative, President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday visited the Secretariat to acquaint himself with proceedings there.
The visit was also to provide the icing on the cake for commencement of the projects in the coming weeks. He was welcomed and conducted round the premises by Mr Kwadwo Adu-Asare, Chief Executive Officer of the initiative at its South Legon premises.
The GH¢ 10 million seed capital project would provide training, funding not beyond GHC50,000 and mentorship in their entrepreneurial development to enterprising youth to reduce perennial dependence on white-collar jobs.
The YES initiative, which is in fulfillment of President Mahama's 2012 campaign promise, would empower creative Ghanaian youth to engage in self-reliant projects and create jobs for others.
