Ghana's annual producer-price inflation rate dropped to 38.3 percent in August as mining costs decreased, the statistics office said. Factory-gate inflation slowed from a revised 38.8 percent in July, the Accra-based Ghana Statistical Service said in a statement yesterday. Mining costs rose 50.5 percent in August, compared with a 59.5 percent increase a month earlier.
