The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has announced that the prices of petroleum products will remain stable at the pumps during the Christmas festivities.
A statement by the Authority said the stability could be attributed to the marginal depreciation in the price of fuel on the world market.
The NPA added that it had activated price stabilization measures to ensure that petroleum prices are not increased in line with a directive from the Ministry of Energy.
The Authority assures the public that it will be monitoring the prices to ensure consumers benefit from government’s decision to use the Price Stabilization Recovery Levy to manage variations at the pumps.
