Public urged to cultivate saving habits

Mr. Kwaku Tweneboa-Kodua, the Head of Retail Banking of Societe Generale Ghana, has appealed to the public to cultivate the saving habit to support the economy.

He said the ongoing deposit promotion of the Societe Generale Ghana was primarily to encourage saving habits particularly among the bank’s customers. Mr. Tweneboa-Kodua was speaking at the second mini draw of the bank’s deposit and win promotion called “The Power of 250 Ghana Cedis” for the Southern Sector at Takoradi.

Some 30 customers who have maintained deposits of 250 Ghana cedis and above won prizes including refrigerators, electric kettles, Samsung Galaxy mobile phones, washing machines and LED television sets.

Mr. Tweneboa-Kodua said the bank was a foremost innovator in the banking industry spearheading key reforms such as Doorstep Banking, Factoring, Foreign Exchange, Commodity Hedging, Consumer Credit Loan, Sika Card, Sikatel and Sikatect to meet customers’ needs.

He said the bank has 39 branches across the country and provides retail, corporate and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) clients.
