Real Estate: “Who is who” in the northern sector of Ghana?

The real estate and property industry has been one of the driving forces in the country. Providing various types of housing and all that comes with it that meets the different demands of Ghanaian has been quite challenging. But the determined firms and individuals in the real estate and property sector have risen up to the challenge and worked effortlessly in meeting these demands.

This has created in its own way an atmosphere of healthy competition among industry players. The need therefore arises to create a platform where the lots who have excelled are given recognition for their contribution to the sector.

However, over the years many award ceremonies have been held and based in the capital, leaving the Northern sector feeling left out. It is in light of this that Property Express Limited, organizers of the Ghana Property Awards has taken the initiative to reward and appreciate the movers and shakers of the real estate and property industry in the northern part of the country.

Based on the theme "Accelerating Infrastructural Development through private-public partnership for job creation and economic fortification", this year’s event seeks to bring together all stakeholders in the real estate, Property & Construction Sectors in the Northern, Upper East, Upper West, Brong Ahafo and the Ashanti Regions.

The northern sector awards which celebrate its 1st anniversary will award nominees in 17 different categories. The nominees are expected to go through some scrutiny by a panel of judges who have eyes for quality in the industry.

The nominees after selection are supposed to make a submission in writing, supported by a documentary outlining their works, making a convincing case, as to why they should be given the award for that category. Presentations could be in pictures, short videos or in PowerPoint.

Categories to be awarded on the 20th June, 2015 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi include but not restricted to Property Company Of The Year, Developer Of The Year, Developer Of The Year (Condominium), Furniture Company Of The Year – Local, Furniture Company Of The Year (Imported), Supplier Of The Year Tiles And Sanitary Ware, Supplier Of The Year Blocks And Concrete Products, Roofing Sheet Manufacturing Company Of The Year. Others are Home Product Supplier Of The Year, Supplier Of The Year Cement And Iron Rods, Funding Partner Of The Year, Security Company Of The Year, Serviced Plot Provider Of The Year, Hotel Facility Of The Year, Interior Decoration Of The Year (Curtains And More), Insurance Company Of The Year, Estate Broker Of The Year.

The ceremony is also expected to create a platform where some concerns and grievances of the industry are addressed. It will provide an atmosphere for interaction and networking among all in attendance. With all roads leading to Kumasi on the 20the of June, come lets find out “Who is Who” and say Ayekoo to these innovative firms and individuals who have worked tirelessly to make our housing dreams come true.
