The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority has held a send-off ceremony in honour of recently retired general managers and managers of the organisation.
The retired managers, including those who served in the operational as well as administrative areas of the port were accompanied by their families, who had for the many years supported their dear one to serve Ghana's Port Authority.
The acting Director-General of GPHA, Michael Luguje, expressed gratitude to the appropriative service rendered by the retirees to the Authority, describing it as exemplary for those still in service.
“We congratulate all of you for your service to the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, for your service to Ghana, for your service to your departments and your service to all those you mentored. Those of us who are still working we see that as an inspiration,” he said.
Colleagues, of the retired managers still in active service shared notable experiences they had working for and with the outgone managers.
The retired mangers and their spouses were gifted with plaques inscribed with credits of their accomplishments during their work span at GPHA.
