SIC to hold 12th AGM October 1

SIC Insurance Company, a Ghanaian insurance company listed on the stock index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) will hold its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 1, 2019, the GSE has announced in a statement.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra.

The statement published on the GSE’s website on 29th August 2019 said : “SIC announces for the information of the general investing public that, the Company’s 12th Annual General Meeting will be held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Accra on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 10 am.”

SIC Insurance Company Limited is one of the oldest non-life insurance companies in Ghana.

It traces its roots to the year 1955, when the Gold Coast Insurance Company was established. It was renamed Ghana Insurance Company in 1957, when Ghana attained independence.

In 1960, Ghana Insurance Company which was primarily a life assurance company, set up a subsidiary company – Ghana General Insurance Company (Ghana General) to underwrite fire and motor businesses.
