Tamale, Sept. 26, GNA - Contributors to Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) Pension Scheme have been urged to update their records periodically for easy payment to their beneficiaries during pension and death. Mr Charles Armah Kuevi, Public Relations Officer of Tamale Branch of SSNIT made the call at a forum organised by Tamale Branch of Public Service Workers Union (PSWU) of Ghana Trades Union Congress (GTUC) in Tamale on Thursday. It formed part of the monthly meeting of the union to educate members on their responsibilities and impact of government policies and programmes on their lives. Mr Kuevi stressed the need for contributors to provide accurate records to SNNIT to avoid problems between them and SSNIT. Mr Frank Dubi, Data Management Officer of SSNIT educated the members on workers' contributions by employees and processing of documents to collect pension. Mr Charles Dzokoto, Tamale Local Branch Chairman of PSWU urged members to attend meetings regularly to participate on issues affecting their welfare. 26 Sept. 08
