The Intercity STC Coaches Limited has initiated process of acquiring 50 new buses to augment its operations that has suffered severe setbacks over the years.
The first batch of 11 of the Scania Marcopolo buses is expected to give a new lease of life to ailing state transporter.
In a facebook post by Deputy Minister of Transport Joyce Bawah Mogtari, she disclosed that the fleet will arrive by the end of this week.
The Managing Director of STC, Mr. Samuel Nuamah Donkor, said the 11 buses would be put on Intercity STC’s old international routes to augment its fleet.
The routes include – Accra – Abidjan, Abidjan – Cotonou and Abidjan-Lome. Passengers who will travel on the new comfortable tiptronic buses will also enjoy additional services such as free WIFI, washrooms, fidges, coffee machines and entertainment system.
The buses are fitted with six security camera screens, with two at the front, two within and two at the back, and also have tracking devices to ensure security.
