STCCI appoints Vincent Annan as new CEO

The Sekondi Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STCCI), has appointed Mr. Vincent Annan, as the new Chief Executive Officer after its secession from the National Chamber.

Mr. Annan is an experienced Employment Advisor, who had worked extensively with the Community Governance Portfolio of the Borough of Telford & Wrekin District Council in England, Mark Education in Telford, England, Obiri Lotteries, Ghana, and as the immediate past executive secretary of the Takoradi branch of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce & Industry.


The Employment Advisor joins the STCCI with varied experience and knowledge to grow the business community within the Western Region.


His stay with the Takoradi branch of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce & Industry saw the establishment of the Tarkwa, Elubo and Cape Coast branches of the National Chamber.


He also facilitated the establishment of co-operative credit union, an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) service focusing on the resolution of business disputes, a local supplier development service focusing on the development on local businesses to supply the extractive industries, and many more.


His depth of knowledge in the area of business development and management of a Business Support Organisation (BSO), such as a Chamber of Commerce & Industry, could also be attributed to his extensive engagements with a lot of International Organisations, both locally and internationally.


Mr. Annan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Psychology & Management from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), in Corporate Strategy from the University of Wolverhampton, England.

He also holds a Certificate in Project Management from Learn-direct, UK.


Meanwhile the Executives of the Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce & Industry headed by the Chairman Mr Ato Van-Ess, have congratulated the new chamber boss on his appointment.


The STCCI is one of Ghana’s most influential Private Sector Associations, providing maximum value to its members, by promoting the private sector’s role as the driving force for sustainable development in the Region and Ghana as a whole.


STCCI is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the world’s business organization and a partner of the World Trade Centre, Ghana.


The Chamber provides services such as Business-to-Business networking, Trade facilitation and Missions to promote cross-border trade and investment in an open global economy to foster job creation, sustainable development and improved living standards.
