Electronics giant, Samsung has added onto its galaxy family new generation smartphones, the Galaxy A Series.
The Galaxy A series which was outdoored last Friday in Accra comes in two types: the Samsung Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5--Both smartphones offer high quality display and an advanced 5MP front-view camera.
The Managing Director, Samsung Electronics West Africa, Harry Park in an address said the company for the first time is introducing a full metal unibody smartphone which is slim and will match every lifestyle of users.
According to Mr Park his company recognizes that mobile phones have become integral part of everyday life and therefore will enhance and complement that same lifestyle. This he said inspired their latest innovation; The Galaxy A5 and the A3.
“The Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 are built to suit the needs of consumers who want to enhance their social networking lives by capturing and sharing every moment while staying connected. The Galaxy A Series are devices for self-expression and fit the unique lifestyle of consumers.
“We are offering consumers more value by forming solid partnerships with renowned brands like Vodafone and Adidas and many more offers through our Gift App.” He said.
On her part, the Marketing Manager for Samsung Accra, Tracy Kyei, said the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 were built to perfectly suit the needs of every consumer.
“It has a five mega pixels camera, the only Samsung phone which that features. We also have fun features on it and vodafone gives 9 gigabite of data for six months and a discount for buying anything from adidas and discounts with other food outlets and shops in Ghana. We have arrangement with some banks that will let potential buyers pay monthly”, She added.
According to her, the Galaxy A series are devices for ‘self-expression and fit for the unique lifestyle’ of consumers. These sleek, stylish, and robust devices come in metallic cases and are of five diverse colours the marketing manager affirmed.
The Galaxy A3 runs on an android 4.4(kitkat) and comes with a 8MP AF with LED Flash rear light, 4.5?qHD Super AMOLED display, 1.2GHz Quad-Core Processor,16GB internal memory + micro SD slot(up to 64GB) 1GB RAM, weighs 110.3g, and has a dimension of 130.1×65.5×6.9mm.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A5, has a 13MP AF with LED flash rear camera, 5.0?HD Super AMOLED display, 1.2GHz Quad-Core Processor, 16GB internal memory + micro SD slot (up to 64GB) 2GB RAM, weighs 123g, has a dimension of 139.3×69.7×6.7mm,and also runs on an android kitkat (4.4) operating software.
In terms of connectivity, both phones come with a 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, 4.0(BLE, ANT+) bluetooth, NFC (LTE version only), and an A-GPS/GLONASS.
