Electronic giant and global leader in technology, Samsung has once again reiterated its commitment by rewarding over 50 lucky winners at the second week of Samsung Christmas Promotion.
The nationwide promotion in collaboration with National Lotteries Authority (NLA) was announced ahead of the festive season to reward 50 lucky winners each week with Samsung’s range of consumer electronics, Smartphones and an all-expenses paid trip to South Africa, for 6 lucky monthly winners.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony last Wednesday, Marketing Manager for Handheld Products at Samsung Ghana Tracy Kyei said: “At Samsung we don’t just create innovative products; we create platforms to enable people to express themselves through our cutting edge technology and products.
“We believe this promotion will strengthen our commitment to give back to Ghanaians and to express our gratitude to our cherished customers as we reward them with exciting prizes each week, including an all-expense paid trip to South Africa to give them perfect holiday experience.”
She added that “The next few weeks will see exciting Samsung products such as LED TVs, Home Theatres, Galaxy Tabs and more fantastic prizes being won every week. There will be two monthly draws which will reward 6 lucky winners with 3 being rewarded each month. The 6 grand draw winners would go ahead to grab the ultimate prize to enjoy the perfect holiday trip to South Africa.”
Madam Kyei further called on all Ghanaians to make Samsung a part of their holiday with Samsung’s array of smart innovative phones. He also thanked Ghanaians for their support and loyalty throughout the entire year and wished a happy new year.
Mr. Caleb Newton took away a brand new Samsung Microwave while Mr. Joseph Akwanda took home a brand new 32-inch Samsung LED Flat Screen Television. Mr. Stephen Laryea also won a Samsung Microwave.
According to Mr. Joseph Akwanda who was one of the lucky winners, he bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy phone on December 26, to surprise his wife this Christmas and followed procedures to register the phone on the e-warranty platform which automatically entered him into the promotion.
“After my entry was received, I received a text message again that I have won a brand new Samsung LED TV. Initially, I did not believe it because I felt it was a scam, but it was when I received a call directly from Samsung to confirm the message that I realized it was true. I am very happy today because I use all kinds of Samsung products at home so I take this opportunity to tell everyone out there to buy a Samsung mobile phone to enter the promotion because it is real,” Mr. Joseph Akwanda revealed.
Another winner, Mr. Stephen Laryea, who also won a microwave, said he bought a Samsung Galaxy Smartphone and also entered the draw after he received the text message for the promotion. He also encouraged others to participate since the promotion had a lot to offer.
Some customers who were present at the presentation also stood the chance of winning shopping vouchers to enable them shop from the Koala Shopping Centre in Accra, A-Life Supermarket in Kumasi, Vicarichie Ghana Limited in Ho and All Needs Supermarkets in Takoradi and Legon.
To participate in the promotion, all that one needs to do is to register Samsung phone on the Samsung’s e-warranty platform by typing REG *IMEI number # to the short code 1453 across all networks. The IMEI number can be found on the phone's packaging or by dialing *#06#. It can also be seen in the empty battery slot on a white label which reads IMEI.
