Samsung unveils new AC, power saving refrigerator

Samsung Electronics Company Limited has introduced into the local market a new top mounted refrigerator, RT6000K, which is able to conserve around 52 per cent power.

It is also custom-made to meet consumers varying demands like keeping foods natural.

The Company also unveiled its latest Air Conditioner (AC) - AR 5000 - with turbo cooling, good sleep, auto-cleaning modes and full HD filter, aimed to satisfy growing customers demand in Ghanaian market.

Mr Selorm Abasa-Addo, the Product Manager-HA at Samsung, during the concurrent launching ceremony, hailed the latest products by Samsung as another breakthrough by the company, following its readiness to investigate and respond appropriately to what consumers wanted.

“This is the first manufacturer to bring its unique twin cooling plus technology to the mounted freezer category,” he said, referring to the new fridge and its ability to maintain natural products’ freshness.

“Many consumers have dreamed of owning a spacious refrigerator which keeps food fresher longer, so their weekly grocery shop goes further.”

“It is a common disappointment to reach into the refrigerator to find the fruit or vegetables have lost their natural moisture so Samsung worked hard to overcome this problem…”.

The refrigerator comes in fives modes - freezer-fridge, energy saving, vacation, fridge max mode, and mini fridge mode - and enables consumers to be flexible with cooling storage depending on their needs.

It allows users to turn the freezer into a fridge or turn off the fridge compartment when required.

Talking about the AC, Mr Sapan Patel of Samsung Electronics West Africa said, the technology giant’s latest AR 5000 was exclusively aimed at the Ghanaian market.

“It has exclusive features such as turbo cooling, good sleep and auto-cleaning modes as well as a full HD filter,” he said.

“The turbo function of the AR 5000 helps to cool your room in the shortest possible time; and the conditioner is the perfect companion for a good night sleep because it has a good sleep mode which maintains a steady room temperature for you to enjoy a sound sleep whilst you save energy.”

The company officials said the AR 5000 had the ability to self-diagnose, thus it is able to detect refrigerant leakage and alert users with an indicator.

“Moreover, the AR 5000 comes with an auto clean function which reduces the moisture inside of the indoor unit and helps in preventing the breeding of bacteria,” Mr Patel added.

“It has a full HD filter which removes even the tiniest of microscopic particles to keep the air clean and fresh always.”
