Accra, Feb. 6, GNA - SIC Insurance Company Limited (SIC) share price continued to appreciate on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) with GH¢ 0.0049 rise on Wednesday to close at GH¢ 0.3550 from the initial offer price of GH¢ 0.3000.
In all share prices of six equities appreciated, pushing the GSE All-Share Index, the main market indicator, up by 5.35 points to 6,732.53 points compared to 6,727.18 points on Tuesday. Change year to date also went up to 2.01 per cent from 1.93 per cent during the previous trading. Volume of shares traded was 382,600 shares; compared to 588,000 shares traded on Tuesday. Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) sold 151,600 shares while 132,500 shares of Cal Bank Limited (CAL) also changed hands.
On the broader market there were six positive price changes. CAL led the pack with GH¢ 0.0135 gain to close trading at GH¢ 0.5250; while share prices of PZ Cussons Ghana Limited (PZ) appreciated by GH¢ 0.0018 to end at GH¢ 0.8400. SG-SSB Bank shares went up by GH¢ 0.0009 to close at GH¢ 1.3070; those of Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) were GH¢ 0.0002 better at GH¢ 1.0061 while Ecobank Bank Ghana Limited (EBG) shares appreciated by GH¢ 0.0001 at GH¢ 2.1762. Market capitalisation went up to GH¢ 12,522.77 million from GH¢ 12,519.44 million on Tuesday.
