South Africans arrive in Tamale ahead of exhibition Fair

International exhibitors for the of the 20th Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) and the Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited have started arriving in Tamale, ahead of the event which comes off between 25 February and March 7, 2016.

The exhibition fair will among other things, showcase a number of products including iron ore, limestone deposits and raw materials, emerging marketing potentials for the manufacturing sector, distributors, agents, exporters and importers within the SADA ecological zone.

Over 500 exhibitors from Asia, Africa, Turkey, Syria, South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Benin, Japan, Italy, Spain and Ghana are expected to take part in the fair in Tamale. Even before the day, a team of South Africans are already in Tamale, ahead of time on a study tour, officials of the Ghana Trade fair Company told ultimate1069.com.

The South Africans, according to the organizers, took the lead because of the love they developed for Tamale following the warm reception they were accorded by residents during the CAN 2008 Football Tournament of which the metropolis was one of the host grounds.

Media houses within the SADA zone will also have opportunity to exhibit their products free to the outside world the Ghana Trade Fair Company revealed.

Briefing the media at the SADA headquarters in Tamale, the liaison officer of the SADA-Ghana Trade Fair, Dr Chris Anab said the authority is playing a facilitating role.

Dr Anab explained that due to the large numbers expected, the two organizations are teaming up with the Northern Regional Security Committee (REGSEC) to ensure that all expatriates conduct their business in a peaceful environment.

Field officers of SADA, according to Dr Anaba are currently rounding- up profiling work with planning officers from all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in SADA zone to enable investors have an elaborate document of each district and determine in which area they can invest in.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Trade fair Company, Abdul Kudus Shakuru appealed to the people in the north to show keen interest in the fair.

According to him, it is their expectation that, most companies, both international and those in Accra, will be established in the north to reduce unemployment among the youth.
