Stock continues to inch up

Accra, Sept. 28, GNA - The main index of the Accra bourse continued its upward movement on Friday and volumes that changed hands recovered slightly.

The GSE All-Share Index gained 5.4 points at 5,676.77 points from 5,671.37 points on Thursday.

Shares that changed hands went up to 241,600 from 99,200 on Thursday, bringing the total shares traded during the week to 432,300. Change for the year ended at 13.40 per cent.

There were three price changes, all positive. Ecobank Ghana Limited gained 0.0100 GH cedis at 1.6100 GH cedis, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited was also 0.0100 GH cedis at 1.0700 GH cedis and SG-SSB Bank inched up by 0.0001 GH cedis at 1.0503 GH cedis. Market capitalisation ended at 11,759.66 GH cedis, up from 11,747.38 GH cedis.
