Stock index goes down again

Accra, May 20, GNA - The benchmark GSE All-Share Index went down again on Friday under the weight of losses by Mobil Oil Ghana Limited (MOGL) and Starwin Products Limited (SPL).

The index lost 2.34 points to end trading at 6,050.03 from Wednesday's 6,052.37 points. Change for the year to date slid again to -11.01 per cent from -10.98 per cent on Wednesday.

There were two price changes, both losses. MOGL lost 1,000 cedis at 38,000 cedis while SPL lost 20 cedis at 720 cedis. Market capitalisation closed poorer at 95,049.14 billion cedis from 95,055.35 billion cedis on Wednesday.

Shares traded were lower at 51,200 cedis from 84,500 cedis on Wednesday, as investors continued to sit on the fence.
