Stock index inches up in another dull trading

Accra, May 18, GNA - The benchmark GSE All-Share Index inched up again in dull trading on Wednesday with only two equities seeing price changes.

The index gained 0.83 points to end trading at 6,052.37 points, up from 6,051.54 points on Monday. Change for the year to date, still in the red, stands at -10.98 per cent.

There were two price changes - one up and one down. CFAO was up by 10 cedis at 320 cedis while Mobil Oil Ghana Limited was down by 10 cedis at 39,000 cedis.

Market capitalisation closed higher at 95,055.35 billion cedis from 95,053.16 billion cedis on Monday. Shares traded were slightly better at 84,500 cedis from 73,200 shares.
