Stock index moves up in quiet trading

Accra, Oct. 10, GNA - The main index of the Accra bourse moved up in quiet trading that again saw investors sitting on the fence as the bearish sentiments continued.

All-Share Index gained 5.17 points at 5,708.77 points with volumes that changed hands falling by half at 50,200 shares from Tuesday's 101,600.

On the broader market, there were two price changes, both positive. Ecobank went up by 0.0001 GH cedis at 1.6251 GH cedis while Unilever was better by 0.0499 at 2.1000 GH cedis.

Market capitalisation ended better at 11,770.06 million GH cedis from 11,766.93 million GH cedis.
